Hi, I've (Bluetooth) and am trying to get to the bottom of a few things, mainly whether one can upgrade the firmware on it. My investigations so far have lead me to believe that it's the same as the AVIC-Z2 in the USA that there seems to be much more information on (even a ) and most importantly to me a to fix a massively irritating issue where the unit keeps deciding to not boot up; there is no such upgrade option on the UK pioneer site.

My questions on this are: • Has anyone got this unit and already gone on the voyage of discovery to get the F/W upgraded, or tried the US one or, am I simply the only one experiencing this issue? (Googling comes up with almost nothing on this unit that is UK related) • There is also apparently in the US an upgrade to the Z3 that gives upgraded functions (still looking into this) I see that there's a newer version of the HD3 out and was wondering if anyone has intel on the differences and whether the US Z2 upgrade would work on the HD3 I'll continue my investigations - next stop phoning pioneer - and post the results here.
